CASA Volunteer Gallery
CASA depends on caring community volunteers to provide services free of charge. In 2006-2007, CASA volunteers built 107 wheelchair ramps, installed 146 handrails and grab bars, and distributed 34 A/C units, 74 fans and 75 heaters. Volunteers spent 1783 hours escorting clients to medical appointments and other errands, spent over 700 hours providing friendly visiting and telephone reassurance, weatherized 140 homes, harvested and delivered 9100 pounds of vegetables, and provided thousands of hours doing minor home repairs. We couldn't do it without our wonderful volunteers!
CASA would like to thank Community Changers 2008 for serving the needs of our clients this past June. They worked on 31 client homes and replaced roofs, painted, built wheel chair ramps, landscaped, and provided companionship. Special thanks to Dean Hamaker, Bethlehem Baptist Church of Hazel Green, Clements Baptist Church of Athens, and Forest Hills of Florence for their outstanding contributions to Community Changers 2008.
